Scheme Summary: 90 Residential Units
Site Status: Planning

Cantay Group have collaborated with Oxplace Ltd – the residential development vehicle for Oxford City Council Housing Limited –  to provide 90 units of affordable housing at our Parent Companys’ 1.40 Ha landholding off Railway Lane in Littlemore. The accommodation is proposed as a mixture of flats and houses and is designed to blend into the existing topography of the site. It is intended that the whole of the development will be provided as affordable housing. Units will range in size from 1 bed flats to 5 bed houses all within a thoughtfully designed and carefully laid out scheme.

The proposal received a positive recommendation from the July 2022 Planning Committee and the S106 Agreement is currently being negotiated.

The development is intended to be constructed to accord with the latest City Council policy of a 40% CO2 reduction through use of sustainable materials and integration of renewable technologies. The development will be a zero emission proposal.

Provision has been made for the site to connect directly to any future Cowley Branch line rail transport halt and/or bridge access to the south.  A pedestrian link is also being provided to offer potential direct access to Sainsburys supermarket through the site.

The proposed housing is programmed for delivery over a number of Phases. It is proposed that construction will commence in the summer of 2023 with a Phase 1 delivery scheduled for completion in late 2024.
