Scheme Summary: 8 two & three bedroom houses
Cantay Estates acquired this 0.75 acre greenfield site in late 2016. The site was allocated for residential development in the Neighbourhood Plan. We successfully obtained planning permission in December 2017 for a high quality, 100% private scheme of 9 large two and three bedroom houses designed by DP Architects. This was despite an objection from Thame Town Council.
The site was subject to a restrictive covenant in favour of a Plc housebuilder. A deal had previously been agreed to release the covenant for a payment of £175,000. Cantay Estates successfully argued that the covenant was not enforceable and it was set aside without any payment being made.
Construction of the development commenced September 2018 and completed February 2020.
