Site Status: Completed

Following a successful planning appeal, Cantay Estates obtained planning permission in January 2018 for the redevelopment of the Co-operative store and car park in the centre of Kidlington. The scheme consists of 52 apartments together with a convenience store, travel agent and post office.

Phase 1 Comprises the remodelled convenience store (5,000 sq ft) and 8 apartments above. Phase 2 comprises 44 two bedroom apartments.

Construction on the first phase of the development, comprising the remodelled retail units and 8 apartments (5 private units & 3 discount rented units), began in Late 2018 and was completed at the end of 2019. The 8 apartments are now fully let and the interest in this component has been transferred to the Company’s residential investment arm Blackridge Estates. The ground floor 5000 sq ft convenience store let to the Coop for 20 years has been transferred to the Company’s commercial investment arm Blackridge Commercial.

Phase 2 (The Arc)

Scheme Summary: 44 two bedroom flats
Site Status: In Construction

High Street Kidlington Phase 2 The Arc) has now commenced on site and substructure works are almost completed. The works comprise 44 two bed apartments over 3 and 4 floors.

The works are expected to be completed and ready for occupation in July 2021. All apartments have been sold off plan and the building will operate as a PRS type model through a joint initiative between Cantay Estates Ltd and University College Oxford.
